Lotsa things!

It’s been a crazy week at work, but I am feeling MUCH better than I did last week! The new allergy meds are helping, though I did get a talking to from the allergist’s nurse about me not using my inhaler enough. I can breathe SO much more easily now and though I’m still sneezing a little here and there, that’s mostly gone. I’m still itching and breaking out now and then, which she thinks could also be stress.

I ~do~ tend to stress about things I can’t control … habits! I tell ya …

I didn’t get to enjoy Halloween like I would have liked. I had broken things off with someone I had been seeing, plus feeling crappy all the time on top of that, I was just not feeling the holiday spirit. Thanksgiving is coming up next week and I’m looking forward to it. I’m planning to spend the day with my brother then maybe see some friends, or maybe play video games and eat pie until I pass out. Both sound fun. 🙂

This year I’m actually looking forward to the holidays. I hate that I can’t spend them with Jessie, but we still talk, and I’ll see her the next time she comes home so there’s that. My bestie’s birthday is coming up so I’m trying to think of something special to do for her. Oh, and there’s also that little Star Wars movie coming out next month, so I’m going to go see that. *grins*

Seriously, I’m stoked about that last one. IT HAS DONNIE FREAKING YEN FOR PETE’S SAKE! 😀

My inner fangirl can contain herself no longer. You have been warned. 😉

Work is insanely busy. Too many things to do, not enough resources or time. Story of my life, but could be worse. I still love it, even though my users drive me batshit crazy some days.

I’m still migraine free, which is just awesome. I still get sinus and hormone headaches, but those are far fewer than the migraines I used to get. (and much more manageable!) My blood pressure has been in normal ranges for the most part — some days things just get to me and I have to be reminded to hide from the world and chill for a bit. Donna is really good about beating me over the head and reminding me to do that. LOL!

My diet? I told it to go fuck itself. 🙂

Ok, not really. I’m not as super strict as I was before, and I am a lot happier for doing that. Good days I eat well. Bad days, I don’t restrict myself, but don’t go overboard either. I’m trying to find a happy medium. I still need to drink a lot more water, and get out more, but I’m working on it.

I’ve lost a friend recently, so I’m sad about that. But I’ve also re-connected with an old friend, so that’s good. I annoyed a pollster last week when I was voting by doing absolutely nothing. Was fun. 🙂

Let’s see, what else? I have hit a wall tracing my maternal line. My great-great-great-great-grandmother, Anny Smith. She was Native American, but I have no idea what tribe she was, who her parents were, or where/when exactly she was born. I know she was born either 1815 or 1818 (depending on which census record you believe) in North Carolina. And I’ll tell y’all, I was shocked as hell to find I have Native American blood. I mean seriously, I’m blue eyed and glow in the dark white. Irish? Yes. Scottish? Yes. Native? Uh, are you sure about that?

A distant relative had reached out to me on Ancestry.com and helped me piece a little more together about my gggg-gm, but I’m still stuck. I may spend some of my downtime next week looking on other genealogy sites for any info.

(I mean, the Revelation CBT1 is over, so I got nothing better to do, right?)

At least Bruce and Selina will enjoy me being home. 🙂
